Asian Stocks Higher on Ireland Bailout

Asian stocks rose on Monday on news of Ireland's package of loans from the EU and IMF, but caution prevailed as investors eyed market reaction to China's latest moves to tackle its inflation.

The FTSE CNBC Asia 100 Index [.FTFCNBCA 6727.37 29.51 (+0.44%)] was up half a percent.

Japan's shares hit a fresh five-month intraday high, after having risen last week on the back of short-covering and year-end portfolio tweaking by overseas investors.  http://www.cnbc.com/id/40305512
